Fair and open draws policy

The draw will be made utilising a Random Number Generator (RNG) that has been Gambling Commission approved.

Complaints Procedure

Any complaints regarding our raffles or lotteries can be made directly to WWT by contacting our dedicated Supporter Services team at WWT, Slimbridge, Gloucestershire, GL2 7BT, or by emailing supporter@wwt.org.uk.

We will respond to initial complaints and queries within 10 working days of receipt of the complaint.

If the complaint is not satisfactorily resolved, the matter will be escalated appropriately.

Every complaint will be taken seriously and fully considered by WWT in order that a satisfactory resolution can be achieved.

In the event that a satisfactory outcome can still not be reached, in accordance with the agreed protocol arranged on behalf of members by the Lotteries Council the matter will be referred to The Independent Betting Adjudication Service (IBAS), which acts as an impartial adjudicator on disputes that arise between gambling operators and their customers.

ii. The player will be provided with IBAS referral details.
iii. The outcome of IBAS intervention will be reported to the Gambling Commission

The WWT is licensed by the Gambling Commission, and this lottery is run under the rules laid down by the Gambling Act 2005.

Responsible gambling / problem gambling procedure

Players can ask to be removed from our database for further emails  regarding raffles or lotteries.

If you are having a problem then you can ask to be self-excluded from the site. There is also software that blocks access to all online gambling sites. See www.gamblock.com or www.netnanny.com for more details.

If you would like to exclude yourself from this Raffle and future WWT raffles, please email supporter@wwt.org.uk
indicating your name using the following template:

“I “name” request that I be refused entry to WWT’s Christmas Raffle 2018 and any future WWT raffles. If I attempt to purchase a raffle ticket, I will be refused.”

Problem gambling

Gambling in moderation is okay, but problem gambling can take over your life. Remembering the following will help to keep gambling in check:

• Set strict limits on how much time and money you’re going to spend, and only gamble what you can afford to lose;

• Do arguments, frustrations or disappointments make you want to gamble?

• Do you gamble to escape an unhappy life?
• Are you reluctant to spend ‘gambling money’ on anything else?
• Have you lost interest in your family, friends or pastimes due to gambling?
• When gambling and you run out of money, do you feel lost and in despair, and the need to gamble again to try to win back your losses as soon as possible?
• Do you gamble until your last penny is gone?
• Have you lied, stolen or borrowed just to get stake money or to pay gambling debts?
• Do you feel depressed or even suicidal because of your gambling?
